Mental and Physical Transformation

Updated: Dec 4, 2022

Someone once told me that time goes faster the older you get… no kidding!! Although I don’t think it’s the progressing age, but more the number of responsibilities that are on your plate. The time went by so fast and with so many positive changes I needed to postpone the March Forum issue to not compromise my sanity. So busy, that we even forgot to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! This was the most dynamic year for me because of the massive changes in Fluid Physio. Going from a part time mobile office, to now a practice with an office, an assistant and most recently an addition of a fantastic Physical Therapist, Dr. Terry Andrus. Terry found our post on a job search website, and we could not have gotten any luckier.

On the last post we talked about loving our body. Our mind is another part of who we are and this too must be cared for. What is more valuable, watching one more episode of Game of Thrones or finishing the soon to be due project? Finishing the newsletter or spending quality time with your oldest daughter? Well, it depends! How much time do you have? Will you be reprimanded? Consequences? What’s in it for you? Rest and relaxation serves a purpose. When your mind is refreshed, you will be more efficient! What revitalizes your mind? A good novel, a run, a nap, Legos, a cup of tea. The price paid for not having a fresh mind will most times be higher than that paid for not taking a break. If you don’t have a lot of time, 5 minutes away from the computer screen breathing fresh air and thinking about your happy place can be enough. Give your mind that break tomorrow and pay attention to how much different you feel later that day!
