Every child has a different starting point, and at Fluid Physio, we meet them right there. Whether your child is learning to walk, recovering from an injury, or needs support with balance or coordination, our therapy is customized to fit their current abilities and comfort level. There’s no pressure, no rush—just thoughtful, goal-driven care that encourages progress at the right pace.

Children learn about their bodies through movement. Physical therapy helps strengthen those movement patterns, making everyday tasks like sitting, crawling, climbing, and walking feel more natural and less frustrating. By focusing on the building blocks of movement, we help kids become more confident in their bodies—so they can explore, play, and participate more fully in daily life.

We know that new places and people can sometimes be overwhelming for children. That’s why we’ve created a welcoming, low-stress setting designed with kids in mind. From the moment they walk through the door, our goal is to make therapy feel like a positive, engaging experience—not something to fear or resist.

You know your child best, and we value that. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be part of the process—whether it’s observing a session, learning techniques to use at home, or simply sharing insights about what your child enjoys and responds to. When everyone is working together, therapy becomes more effective and meaningful.

Hi, I am Isobella, and I am a repeat offender! I first came to Fluid Physio back in 2022 during my freshman winter track season due to hip pain, and with their help I broke the indoor freshman record for shotput. I later returned for a wrist injury that turned out to be a TFCC tear—Dr. Gianna pushed for the MRI that caught it. After working through shoulder and knee injuries with Dr. Gianna and Dr. Easton, I was able to return to track each time. I currently rank top 25 in NJ for shotput, number 5 all-time at my school, and number 1 in NJ for weight throw, and I’ve committed to Brandeis University to throw next year!

My journey to Fluid Physio was not easy—after being in a car accident where I was left with debilitating dizziness, neck pain, visual challenges, and headaches, it was difficult to find a practice that met all my needs. I finally landed at Fluid Physio where I worked on regaining my balance, decreasing my pain levels and getting back on track to being me. I can confidently say that I am a drastically different person now than when I began at Fluid Physio. I feel like I am now equipped with the tools, knowledge, and optimism to keep maintaining the progress I made.

Pediatric Physical Therapy in Lawrenceville, NJ: Supporting Your Child’s Growth Every Step of the Way

Every child grows at their own pace—but sometimes, they need a little extra support to reach key physical milestones. At Fluid Physio in Lawrenceville, NJ, we offer pediatric physical therapy services designed to help children move with more ease, confidence, and coordination. Whether your child has a developmental delay, an injury, or a condition that affects movement, we’re here to help them thrive.

1. What Is Pediatric Physical Therapy?

Pediatric physical therapy focuses on helping children improve their strength, flexibility, balance, and motor skills. It’s used to support healthy development, treat injuries, and address conditions that may affect a child’s ability to move or participate in age-appropriate activities.

At Fluid Physio, our therapists work one-on-one with each child in a way that feels safe, engaging, and age-appropriate. Therapy sessions are designed to feel more like play than work—because when kids are relaxed and having fun, they learn and grow more effectively.

2. Conditions We Commonly Treat

Pediatric physical therapy can benefit children with a wide range of needs. Some of the most common conditions we help manage at our Lawrenceville clinic include:

  • Developmental delays

  • Torticollis and plagiocephaly (head tilt/flat head syndrome)

  • Cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions

  • Down syndrome and genetic conditions

  • Sports injuries and orthopedic issues

  • Gait abnormalities and toe-walking

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation

No matter the diagnosis, we take a customized approach to care. Your child’s goals become our goals—from taking their first steps to returning to the playground with confidence.

3. Our Child-Friendly Approach

Children respond best when they feel safe, heard, and supported. That’s why we’ve created a welcoming, relaxed environment at Fluid Physio where kids can feel at ease. Every session is tailored to your child’s interests and developmental level, using games, toys, and movement activities that encourage natural progress.

We also involve parents and caregivers every step of the way. We’ll show you how to support your child at home and explain what each step of their therapy means for their growth and development. This collaborative approach leads to better outcomes and stronger results—because when we work as a team, your child wins.

4. The Benefits of Pediatric Physical Therapy

The earlier physical therapy is introduced, the more impact it can have. Pediatric PT is not just about overcoming challenges—it’s about giving kids the tools they need to build a strong foundation for life. The benefits may include:

  • Improved muscle tone and coordination

  • Better posture and balance

  • Increased independence in daily activities

  • Reduced pain or discomfort during movement

  • Enhanced confidence and social participation

Our goal is always to help your child feel strong in their body and confident in what it can do—whether that means playing sports, walking without support, or simply being able to keep up with their peers.
