A big thank you to Carly and Fluid Physio for working their magic. I have struggled with lower back issues for many years but just ended up trying to manage it within certain boundaries. I was only able to play golf or tennis once a week and had accepted that as the new norm.
However, a few months ago I experienced persistent pain that not only prevented golf and tennis, but it also impacted my sleep patterns so on a recommendation I called fluid physio for help. It began with a very detailed diagnosis, not just of the cause of the immediate pain but also of the areas of improvement needed in core strength and flexibility to prevent the pain/discomfort from re-occurring.
After 4 very focused therapy session my immediate pain dissipated and has never returned. Once the immediate issue was addressed, Carly developed a plan of exercises and movements that I need to perform on a routine basis to enhance strength and flexibility in specific muscles that would enable me to live life to the fullest. I really like the app that is used as it contains demonstration videos for each exercise/movement. It has been 4 months and no return of pain, 3x week golf sessions and 2x week tennis without any reaction. It is a work in progress but moving in the right direction.
